Andree Jardin

A century ago in Nantes, on the banks of the Erdre, where brush and broom makers went to purchase their raw materials, George Rene Julio, the future partner of Andrée Jardin, began his apprenticeship.Today, his great grandchildren Jean-Baptiste and François-Marie have continued the family business, bringing modernity to the century-old tradition of brush making through their collaborations with contemporary designers. In a time of mass production and standardisation, Andrée Jardin gives hope to those who still value hand crafted goods, sustainably produced and made to last. Here at For Keeps we love their commitment to the preservation of true French craftsmanship and of course the wonderful end products – refined models in pastel colours with a traditional, minimalistic touch.
